As a temporary solution is it worthwhile connecting my long suffering video editing workhorse cMP to a new M1 Mac Mini since the cMP has 6 drives in it with media for a range of ongoing projects? I don't want to lose the cMP and want to avoid upgrading the OS beyond Mojave since there are older apps still in use on it. If I network them via the 10gb Ethernet, will I get sufficient write/read drive speeds to edit 4K on the Mac Mini in Premiere/Da Vinci? The main media drives spinning discs but in Raid 0.
What about if I also wanted to control the cMP from the Mac Mini (not bought yet) via the network and use the OS and apps loaded there and keep them on the same large monitor?
cMP: 2010 5.1 MPc 3.33ghz 12 core, 40gb RAM with El Cap, GPU GeForce GTX 980Ti 6gb.
