Hey guys,

ist nearly half a year that I started upgrading my cMP 5,1.

So far
1) nvme (Samsung Evo) 500GB running on a PCI Slot
2) PCI Slot USB C card
3) Nvidia GTX 680 4GB flashed
4) 32GB DDR3 RAM 1333GHZ
5) 2x Intel Xeon x5680 (3,3 GHz)

everything is running fine with Big Sur (open core),

but in comparison with online Geekbench results, my machine looks so weak. Overall I got 6150 Points in multicore and 650 in single core... the online results are up to 24000 in multicore .... Any ideas where the bottleneck could be??

I appreciate your ideas.

Sincerely Phil

Did you noticed that Geekbench v4 and v5 scores are not the same and totally incomparable? Base point is totally different from v4 to v5, it’s another/newer Mac that is used as reference and the tests are different.

Your Mac Pro scores seem correct for Geekbench v5.
