Hello hello,
I just started digging into upgrading my early 2008 3,1 cMP, and I got a pretty affordable GTX 680 GPU, but it unexpectedly needs both a 6pin and an 8pin power supply because its the ASUS version (https://tweakers.net/pricewatch/310258/asus-gtx680-dc2o-2gd5/specificaties/). I'm a little bummed because I thought I'd just go for the straightforward solution since this is my first time doing anything like this, but now that I've got this thing I'll just have to go for it!
I want to ask if someone could link a reliable source to buy the necessary cables from, because everything im finding is looking a little shady. And also if the SATA port is the best solution for the 6-pin power supply (taking the 8 pin from the dual microfit 6pins).
Thanks in advance!
