CNN notifications

CNN notifications refuse to work after reinstalling OS X Mavericks on my Late 2013 iMac. When going to http://www.cnn.com/macalerts/ with Safari and pushing the big red button nothing happens. Before the erase and install their notifications worked just fine. CNN is the only site I'm having problems with.

Could there be a security preference in Safari turned on that prevents the CNN script to run or something? Any insight to fix the issue I'm having would be grately appreciated, I really miss their notifications.

Running OS X Mavericks v10.9.2 and corresponding Safari version on a Late 2013 27-inch iMac.

Yeah I know which steps to undertake and it works fine with other websites. But when the add dialog window never pops up with CNN it's kinda hard to add. I was wondering if someone here can try to add CNN using the link I provided above to see whether it works for them or not.
