I am officially disappointed in CNN. When I had hopes that CNN was one of the few still doing a bit of research I see this, the piece they had on Kid Rock not selling is music on iTunes. Granted that most of the comments come from some supposed Billboard magazine reporter, but aren't you supposed to at least corroborate what other people say?
Some of the highlights were:
- He'd rather have his fans rip him off than the record companies or iTunes
- His record company wanted him to make a statement against file sharing and he turned around and said no I am gonna make one against iTunes.
- It's only a matter of time until artists start demanding a piece of Apple's pie
- Kid's buy 99 cents music and Apple is a 1.6 billion Dollar company and a big part of that is because of devices that carry music.
- We did reach out to itunes but they had no comment
I don't even know where to start this is so flawed, but they reached out to iTunes? No wonder it had no comment... IT IS AN APP for goodness sakes.
Anyway, if this stuff happens with Apple, I don't even want to know how they report on politics, etc.
