CNN Video not working but other sites do

I'm having trouble with this one...

Flash video works fine on other sites (hulu, abcnews.com, cnet.com) but for some reason I can't play videos on CNN.com

Anyone have an idea what could be preventing it from playing? I'm using Safari 4.05 on a 2008 (late) MacPro, Snow Leopard.

I am 98% sure this is a Flash problem. I see these problems all the time, they often single out one site or domain.

I recommend you look at your Flash settings: http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html

Do any settings look wrong? If not, I recommend changing settings more or less randomly and trying the site again and again until it works. If you want to be safe, you can create another User Account (you know, another Mac OS X user account and login), and futz around with that new user, so that you won't mess up your own settings. This has worked for me in the past.

I find that increasing the amount of local storage allowed often works. Another thing that often works is deleting ALL of the remembered sites in ALL of the tabs of the Flash settings.

I'm having the same exact problem with a month old MacBook pro and doing a reset on the flash site settings doesn't fix it. Here's everything everything I tried:

Used a different user account - no fix.

Tried different browsers on the MacBook Pro - Opera, Firefox, and Chrome. Strangely enough, the videos work in Firefox but no other browser.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling Flash - no fix.

Tried clearing all the browser caches and used Clean My Mac - no fix.

Tried removing the ad block plugin on Safari - no fix.

Fired up Safari on my Windows rig and it plays the CNN vids with no problem.

Tried watching the videos on my iPad - works great, esp since it's not using flash.

So at this point, the solution for my MacBook Pro is to use Firefox if watching vids on CNN.com but I can't figure out why it would on Firefox but no other browser.
