I would like to create a disk image for Call of Duty 4 so I do not have to take the game CD with me every time I want to play the game. I created a new disk image of the disk (read only, no compression) and saved it on my desktop. When I launched the game, it did not recognize the dmg file and still requested the physical CD. I read on Apple Tech Support you could create a dmg file so you do not need the disk. Please let me know what I am doing wrong - Thanks

I haven't needed the CD in my MacPro to play CoD4 for quite some time. I only really play online, I haven't played the single player game for a few months, but I don't need it for online multiplayer action. Have you updated the game since you installed it? The update may have fixed that issue.

You might need to lock the image first (apple - I (get info) then check locked).
