COD 4 on VM Ware

I had downloaded COD 4 on my old white MB with 1 GB RAM and 144 MB VC(intel GMA).
So I was told that it will not work on that so I returned it.
So my Question is that will it work on VM ware?

Basic answer is no. VMWare isn't going to cut it for a game of the caliber of COD4.

with intel GMA graphics, that game wouldnt even run in boot camp
