Well I finally got Win XP 32 bit running with parallels. After waiting over an hour I finally got Call Of Duty 2 installed. I went to play it, then got this error message...

DirectX(R) Encountered and Unrecoverable Error
Click the Direct X FAQ for Possible Solutions.

Anyone have any idea what that means?

Should I download Direct X 9.0c? Thats what it says, but I also read that parallels is an emulater, and it installs its own drivers, so now what?

It is a MacBook Pro with a 2.4GHz Core 2 Duo, 4GB Ram, and a GeForce 256MB Graphics Card.

Thanks!

not really cause parallels doesn't support direct x yet, its cause your running two systems in one go. there might be a fix but i have not heard of it to date

Well.. it supports DirectX 9 to a certain extent, but even it were "fully supported", the performance can't even be compared to Boot Camp. Parallels doesn't use the 3D grfx card in your Mac directly, so therefore no real gr8 3D performance.

Yea thats it, Cod2 or any games wont really run through parallels, if you want it for games just use bootcamp.
