Hi everyone,

I had an unfortunate event back in March where a bit of my coffee leaked into my bag and caused my laptop to be rendered useless unless it is always plugged in. Anyway it is November now and I have been using it as a "desktop" with an external monitor. I have just picked up the new MacBook and this is excessive to my needs. The question I pose to you guys, is how much would someone be willing to pay for this and what do I ultimately do with it? I have seen some go for 300-500 AUD but they are only for parts. Specs are below, base MacBook pro 2016 (dual core i5, 8gb/256gb). Thanks guys.

PS I'm based in Australia so if anyone has ideas around here?

I would only sell it as-is with the clear understanding that it has been liquid damaged with no guarantee of future functionality. That’s unfortunately going to ding its resale value quite a bit. Considering that it’s a base model from four years ago, the pricing you mentioned doesn’t seem out of line at all.
