Hello,

For those interested I've made a new version of Cog (2016).

It's in beta phase but here it is : http://www65.zippyshare.com/v/HHmKKdhr/file.html

- Transport buttons + volume slider in osx menu/status bar (at the system clock).
- Upgraded to newest VLCKit framework.

To do:
- Popup playlist not yet working.

Cheers, Vivo

1000+ views, you guys/girls are silent! No like? Not fishing for compliments! But it took lots of hours. Or all on < 10.11 ?

I have to be honest, I'm partial to version 2016-10.11+ (11) from January 30th. The later one seem to attempt to do too much for my taste, e.g. with the integrated video player.

Ok, that's understandable. Maybe I'll make an audio only version again for 10.11 in another update.

That's really awesome!

Is there any way you could have the file tree sidebar, when it's been hidden, remember whether the info inspector showing the album art was visible previously? Currently it always shows up, regardless of its previous state, and only disappears (in case it had been hidden before) once you resize the window. I hope you get what I'm talking about...

By the way, I really liked the previous, flat look of the song position indicator in the first picture. Did you replace that one on purpose?

[doublepost=1461173332][/doublepost]Unfortunately the new version also seems to hang for me when I search for something in the Spotlight panel.

Hi tkermit,

1. It's really a difficult bug. Still haven't been able to fix this.
2. check out this version:

Download: http://www3.zippyshare.com/v/OP5fPE5R/file.html

  • new apple remote framework (cannot test, hope it works)
  • menlo font in time display
  • flat position slider
  • function/media keys working again (F8 = play/pause etc)
  • fixed prev next buttons in menu bar (would not trigger playing icon)
  • removed spotlight search completely due to incompatibility (does not work in Vspaders or Kode54 source either).
  • 10.11 only btw.

This thread was so amazing to find! I was super happy to know that mamburu had taken over Cog, my favorite way to play chiptunes on OS X, but that refresh seemed to have stalled yet again, so thanks a lot for keeping Cog going!

Also, thanks a lot for the source link, but it seems to no longer work :(
