Would you prefer if the thin part of the Macbook Pro power cord was coiled (spiraled)?

I get annoyed with Apple often for their production and design decisions.

But here is a MASSIVE gripe. I travel A LOT. And I need my power cord for my MBP with me at all times.

It would make it SO MUCH easier if the cord was designed better.

(1) The grade of rubber they use wears in exactly one year's time (obviously engineered obsolescence, but really annoying having to buy a cord every year a few days after the warranty expires.)

(2) It would be so much easier to carry the thing around if it was a SPIRAL power cord, as shown in the attached photo.
