He did a banquet and Q + A session with us. Pretty cool. But the gym was only about half full, kinda sad that more people line up to see members of "Real World" than a former Sec. of State.

Yeah, especially someone who actually stuck with his own beliefs and morales and weren't swayed by the administration. I thought it odd that we never heard much from Powell while he was Sec of State. But, his ideals differed from the Bush cronies. I would have loved to see him.

Plus, he's an Episcopalian! :D

That's too bad. I wish he would run for president, but that isn't happening. He's a great guy. :)

Did you ask him why he pronounces it "Colon" instead of "Colin?"

Episcopalian eh? Catholic Lite - same religion, half the guilt.

I'm not Episcopalian, but I used to sing in the local Episcopalian church choir every Sunday. They needed people to help out their choir, which sucked, so they payed me and a few other people $100 a week to come in an make them sound musical. It was pretty sweet getting paid to go to church...
Oh yeah, and Colin Powell is cool, that's lucky you got to see him (trying not to stray too far off topic)

Pardon me? He was pivotal in the run-up to war. Remember his presentation to the UN, complete with ariel photos and artists impressions of, well, nothing at all as it turned out.

He's as culpable as the rest of the Bush gang. The fact he's a "nice guy" makes matters worse IMO - he really should have known better, or had the guts to stand up for his principles.
