College=MB+Printer

Ok so I'm new to the forums, but have been a long time viewer. Great stuff here-lots of information.

Anyways, I am in the market for a MB. The back to school promo is awesome, and the $100 printer rebate seals the deal.

However, the reviews of the $100 printers that Apple offers are not too encouraging. With that said, I'm seeking some advice as to whether or not I should buy a $100 printer and suffer (well, it is freeeee) or use the $100 rebate towards a more expensive printer. I would need suggestions as to what kind for the latter option.

I do have 300 free pages B&W per semester at the printing lab which is pretty far away from my dorm.

I'd get $100 off of a better printer. If you're looking at B&W and that many pages you'll want to take a look at a laser printer.

If you go inkjet always check the cartridges first. You'll want to get one that uses high capacity ones.

Definitely use it towards a better printer. The one they give you is crap.

There are way more printers available than they show you. I got this one with my MBP order today.
