College Sophomore: Air or Pro?

I have had a few macbooks over the years and my late '08 aluminum baby recently bit the dust. I filled up all 160 gigs on it, so naturally I was looking at the 500 gig pro. A friend said she has an Air for school and would never go back to a pro. My only concern is storage space- should I just go for the 128 gb 13" air, or splurge on 256?
The lightweight form would be a dream for taking to class, but have any of you Air owners had the lower storage space be a problem?

and the EPP discount through my job ($1,127 13" pro, $1,127 13" 128 gb air/ $1,409 256 gb)

I will use it for school work and music/ photo storage, with a tiny bit of imovie thrown in there. i have an iphone, ipad and ipod too so i utilize iCloud heavily and am converting from Office to iWork

I have the 256 gb storage and it does reasonably well. I had 128 as a boot up on my Mac Pro and found I always had to be careful not to fill it. Your mileage may vary, but these days it doesn't take much to fill 128.

Btw, I love my Air, its great for business trips, writing, reading, browsing, but it does have limits with really graphic intense programs.... if you think you might want to do anything 3D the Macbook air is going to drag you down.
