ok so in the fall, i will be going off to college but i will need to be able to work on my home computers from school.

-my home computers are both windows
-home router is a linksys wrt54gs
-have a dyndns.org account setup with router and working.
-i have a mbp

i need to know how to vpn to my home network so that i can then use Remote Desktop Client to connect to the computers.

what's the best way to vpn into my home network?

so is there anyway to test all of this if i'm still inside my home network? i know that sounds dumb but at the moment i just wanted to test it.

ok so then i go to network preferences on my mac and make a vpn (pptp) connection.
-sever address is my dyndns address right?
-account name is the user name of the computer i'm connecting to?
-leave encryption set to automatic,

anything else i should do in the advanced menus?
