I'm trying to find out if the color depth of the MBP LED display is 6-bit or 8-bit. I know there was some controversy about the MB displays in the past when it was discovered they were 6-bit. I believe MBP displays are 8-bit color, but Apple won't tell me when I call them, and the color depth isn't listed on their site. All they say is that it displays "millions of colors", which is no help to me.
If there's some place on the web where the color bit depths of the various Apple displays are discussed, including the ACDs, I'd really appreciate being pointed to it.
