I have an HP Dekjet 930C printer that I use with my iBookG4 and when I print, the printer doesn't print in color or fine background grey print. I replaced the color ink cartridge and still no color prints. Black ink and text print well, but fine print on coupons for example that are in light grey printed from the internet either don't appear or come out very faintly even on the "best" print quality setting. I have the printer set to print in color, even color backgrounds. I'm sure all the settings are fine because it worked fine before. Do you think mostly likely I have a bad ink cartridge? Thank you for any insights.

Go into the printer settings and double check the printer is set to print in color. ;)

If it was a bad ink cartridge, there would be blank spots where color should be.

Color/Fine Gray Printing Problem

Use the Automatic option for default color settings that automatically fine-tune the color-printer output. The Automatic default color settings provide high-quality output for most color-printing nedds.
