Color of Birthday calendar changed

I just noticed that the color of my Birthday calendar on my iPhone (pulled from Contacts) changed to green. On all of my other devices it is the default - gray. I know it's not possible to change the color of the Birthday calendar, so I'm wondering how this happened. Any suggestions?
