Color Printing Problems in Illustrator CS 2

I have Illustrator CS 2 and the problem Im having is when go to print the colors are way diffenent than what the are on the monitor here is an example the reds come out pink the light blue comes out a darker blue and blue comes out a purple color I replace my ink and still the same I have a epson stylus c86 printer w/ a mac mini running Mac OSX 10.4.3.is the anywhere someone cane show me step buy step how to fix this anyhelp would be greatly appreciated

Does this just happen with Adobe Illustrator CS or does this happen with other programs too? A slight difference from the on-screen image to the printer is usual but this sounds more than just that.
