Color profile fails to load upon waking from sleep

This problem is getting annoying, so I'm finally reaching out for some help. More often than not, the color profile for my external monitor fails to load after my MBP wakes from sleep. If I go to system prefs and open the Displays preferences, it will sometimes prompt the profile to load. Other times I have to click on the "Color" tab in that dialogue box to get it to load.

I'm using OS X 10.5.8 on a MBP (Penryn, early 2008).
