Hi all.
Seems my Air has an AUO screen and I can't seem to be able to calibrate the colors correctly. It looks so washed out.
I took it to a mac genius and he was able to calibrate it, but still looks the same.
Screen flickers/missing a pixel line when scrolling on safari and i need to set the brightness all the way up to really get the screen to look good.
Could it be just be the sucky profile or can it be the screen itself?

thanks in advance for any help or suggestions.

By the way, I really like this computer and want to make sure I've tried everything before taking in for repair.

Cool, thanks for all your help!!!
Going to go through all those profiles and see which one works for me.
If not, I am still under warranty, so I'll see what Apple can do. :)

Hehehehe these old eyes aren't as good as they use to!!!
Only problem I see with the screen that drives me nuts (more than washed out color/screen panel) is that when scrolling on Safari, you can see lines on websites that sort-of flicker when slowly scrolling on the page.

Maybe I am too spoiled with the screens on my other electronics :(

*halledise* what do you like more about the AUO screen than the Samsung or LG?

truer colours - no need to calibrate as with other panels …

Any new profiles to an AUO screen? Or any tricks to improve it?
Tried a bunch of profiles on here, but still not the right color/settings my eyes want.
Trying not to go back to Apple store to get the screen replace and yet again get another AUO screen.
Seems people on here like the AUO screens, but I guess I just need more calibration help.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
