Since no two screen are exactly the same and color calibration should be done according to the environment you're using the computer in, sharing someone else's profile isn't going to produce the same results for you as it did for them...

I am fully aware of this... However, it is my experience that professionally calibrated color profiles usually look better. I don't do any graphics work so I don't really care about color accuracy, but I would like to have the option to see whether profiles of other users might work better for me.
