After removing a non-working drive in my late 2013 27-inch iMac very carefully. I installed a SSD into it Now I get the colored stripe on the right-hand side of the screen. I've confirmed that the display data cable after using it on another exact model. Could the display power cable be causing the stripe? If not, what might be the cause of this issue?

The usual cause of vertical stripes after removing the screen to access the interior of the iMac is that when the glue-strip around the screen was cut, a sharp tool was inserted too far, and at the top of the screen where the stripe is, this damaged the ribbon cable to the screen matrix.

If a metal cutter was used instead of the Apple-recommended pizza-wheel cutter, then this is much more likely.

However, usually the vertical stripe is black, meaning the ribbon cable was completely severed.
In your case, with a coloured stripe, maybe something else got damaged?
