Column name finder width does not stick

Anyone have a clue why when I expand column for name in finder, later wont stick to where I set it? Thanks.

Assuming that you are talking about Column View, hold the Option key while resizing the column.

Thanks D, did not work, did not lock it down. It should lock down on own. But apple decided scrunch it up later.. Why? Still stuck.
