com.applidium.vlc 18.7mb - what is it?

I have this in the list of apps i back up to icloud, only noticed it since going from beta 7 to the GM. Anyone know what it is?

It's the app VLC, which isn'T available on the App Store anymore (at least in Germany). You can watch any kind of video file using that app, w/o prior conversion.
