How do I combine a .AC3 file with an .m4v file (H.264)? I was going to use MakeMKV but it appears that only works with optical drives...?..I tried making a folder and it would not allow me to select the files even after I created the proper encoded files for a BluRay via compressor...I then tried to open both of them up in FCP X but FCP X won't accept the .Ac3 file which is sort of the whole point since I remixed a music video to 5.1 surround and I don't want to loose quality or channels with it....

Ok if that didn't make sense basically I'm trying to make a final H.264 video with 5.1 surround from an audio file and a video file and since I suck with compressor I can only figure out how to make it export as a video and audio file unless I choose 2 channels which is pointless for what I need.

MKVtools app which uses mkvtoolnix can do this. You can also make a version with 5.1 ac-3 alond with stereo AAC pro logic II.
