Hey there,

I've recently ordered a new Mac Mini which I'm gonna use to house all my movies, music and photos. I've got one little problem with my photos though... I've got an iPhoto Library file from back when I was at uni and I've got an aperture library my more recent photos. How can I combine the 2?
Each file is about 30 or 40GB.
I think I may have made it more difficult switching to aperture in my more recent machine. But I'd rather not just pull out the original files, ideally I'd want to keep all the metadata.
Is there anything anyone can suggest?

Thanking you all in advance!

The current iPhoto and Aperture use the same file format so Aperture can read an iPhoto library. There may be a problem if your iPhoto library is an older format. If you can upgrade the library to the latest version then it's easy to combine the libraries. Open your current Aperture library, then File->Import->Library and point to your iPhoto library.
