Hello,
I'm quite obsessive when it comes to Play Counts and Data added etc... this creates most of my smart playlists so Id like it up to date and accurate.
A while back I recreated my iTunes library and not knowing what I was doing I lost all of my meta data. I restarted again from 0 and from that particular date. I wish I knew more about the process of moving iTunes libraries, I'm up to speed now!
Luckily I made a back up of that library .xml, however I am too far into my new library that I do not want to lose all the data there and go back to the old one.
Here's my question, Is there a way I can add the existing 'play counts' in my old library to the value currently used in my new library and change the 'date added' to the tracks that existed in my old library?
I've looked into scripting but I get a bit lost... Is there a program that will help me do this?
I've looked into using a xml program that will help me find the differences and change them manually but this will take a long time due to the size of my library.
If anyone could help it would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Joe
