Combining .VOB Files?

I recently ripped my Monty Python and the Holy Grail DVD to my computer so i can back it up, and in the VIDEO_TS folder there are 5 different parts. The problem is, English is the default track for only 2 of them. The other ones are in different languages, and for me to put it into english i have to change the trach from track 1 to 2 in VLC.

How do i combine all of them, keeping it as english?
 
you have to set the file splitting setting to none before you rip the dvd. In one program I use to rip in windows the file splitting option is under the IFO mode setting. the result is 1 huge .vob file

ok. is there a way to convert the video_ts folder to avi though? i know there's a way, but i can't find a good app to do it.
 
Ok, i figured it out. I just renamed the VIDEO_TS folder to "Monty Python and the Holy Grail" and I can point VLC or the DVD Player to this folder, and it will play.

VLC should just play the VIDEO_TS folder at least it always has here anyways no need to rename it.

Ah I see, I usually just put the TS folder in its own directory already name correctly when I rip them.

Edit: Don't forget the Handbrake if you ever need to rip to the various formats it can do it will use the TS folder just as easily for a source as VLC will.
