Hello,

This has been happening to me since I bought my PB (12 inch, 1.33 GHz) some 6 months ago. At first, I trief to read several TDK DVD+R discs burnt on a PC at the office, but they got stuck into the drive and I had to reboot to eject them.

After several software updates (now I'm using 10.3.7) I discovered that my combo drive could read DVD+RW discs burnt on my PC with Nero. BUT, if I burnt that very same compilation on a DVD+R (or DVD-R) disc, the combo drive of the PowerBook just either ejected the disc after some whirring, or left it inside, but in no way it could be read.

So, the file system on the DVD+RW and the DVD+R/-R is THE SAME, and the combo drive can't read it?!?!? Come on...

No problem with CD-R discs, or original DVDs.

One last thing: I also tried to insert a DVD-R (which my PB kept ejecting) and then opening Toast (6.5 I believe); I then went to the disc info option, and after a couple of minutes some basic info about that disc (tracks & size) was displayed. I closed Toast and the disc was finally ejected by the PB.

I hope anyone has had this same problem (and has solved it, of course).
Regards from Spain,

Angel.
