What's the difference with the combo and client combo? Any different or adverse effects from installing one or the other?

You want the combo as it supposedly doesn't have the issues that are causing the errant installs.

Thanks but there are two different combos for 10.7.3 for example..

- OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client) (997.01 MB)
- OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo) (1.2 GB)

There is also a size difference. They are both combos, but just interested in the differences? :)

The pages are exactly the same, same wording apart from the size and word 'client'

Nope only one combo (it even says Combo). There are 2 clients, but only one combo/ The combo contains everything, wheres the other is supposed be only for the upgrade from the previous version (in this case 10.7.2). Still only one combo.

Thanks for the reply. :)
I'm still quite confused if there is only one combo to why apple has two different web page with two different file size downloads.

The reason you're confused is you're misreading the descriptions. Only one is a combo updater, the other is a delta update (which is why it's smaller).
