I use closed back headphones so I can listen to music loud enough to drown out the sound on the underground (tube/subway/rail), and I use the same pair for monitoring my guitar/vocals when I'm playing. After losing 3 lightning to 3.5mm audio jack adapters I'm finally conceding that I should think about a bluetooth pair, but I know bluetooth is just too high latency to work for live audio monitoring like that. Hence, I'm looking for a set with a detachable cable and a bluetooth connection, so I can leave the cable plugged in to my audio interface and take the headphones with me. They need to be closed back over ear so as not to cause disturbance to fellow passengers, and ideally have active noise cancellation so they don't cause any disturbance to me
Are there any good headphones like that in production?
My current pair are AKG K271 MkII, great for having replaceable parts and detachable cable, but those cause discomfort to my right ear if I wear them too long so ideally something that won't compress my ears (or my audio)
The only options I've found so far are the Sony WH-1000XM4 or Bose 700, but neither really seem to be targeted at musicians. Is there anything better suited to me out there?
