OK, my combodrive on my Macbook is broken. Wont play CDs/DVDs, just spits them out after about 20 seconds or so.

I bought Applecare with my Mac back in September 2006 so I guess I'm covered, do I just take the receipt with me to the Genius Bar when I see them later today? I have the box thing that you got but never loaded the provided CD or registered online.

Help take some pressure off my back please!

If you purchased AppleCare at the same time as the MacBook then relax - you are covered. Apple would "probably" have registered the AppleCare on the MacBook at the time of the purchase.

Check your MacBook serial number at https://selfsolve.apple.com/GetWarranty.do and it should say that your AppleCare is in place....
