Eisner wasn't really happy this morning for the shareholder's meeting. He chased away the local news channel away and had them escorted off Disney property. They also banned Roy Disney's niece from attending the meeting.

Comcast has been doing well, considering their humble beginnings. It would be a great thing to see Eisner go so that Disney might re-trace its roots and get back to being the happiest place on earth.

You have to wonder if Roy would come back in some context if this goes through.

Eisner has to be worried - and might do more damage before its all done. I just hope what ever deal is made doesn't give many options to Eisner after its done :D

damage? you mean like tying the company's future to micro$oft? that whole internet licensing deal with wmp-drm reeks of bad news.

Disney is in definite need of searching for and recapturing its lost soul.

Couldn't have said it better myself. I don't know much about Comcast and their company philosophy, but if this comes to pass, I hope it pulls Disney back out of the deep abyss they've dug themselves into.

And Eisner really needs to go.

Forget Comcast! The real news is this:

Pixar, whose chairman is Steve Jobs, the founder of Apple, which until last week was involved in a joint venture with Disney, is understood to be looking at forming a consortium of financiers to counter Comcast’s bid.

A spokesman for Mr Jobs would not comment, but a Pixar source said: “Steve is looking very closely at this.”

If Steve Jobs does buy Disney...

I would actually be interested in buying products from Disney again if Pixar bought them.
