So I will be at work. There is an authorized Verizon store (so not a corporate store) near me where I can check at lunch if they are still in stock, but I doubt it.

So come time after work, will be asking you guys which shops in manhattan still have what I want; which is a Gold 16GB 5S.

I will need you to check all 5 Apple stocks in Manhattan, as well as any Corporate Verizon store in the downtown area.

The first store Imma check is the Verizon store on Wall Street, and work my way up.

So please guys, when you go to get yours, help me out a little and ask your rep how their stocks look for the 16GB Gold 5S. Your help is appreciated.

I will bump this thread come Friday morning.
 
Haha are you serious? Who would do this? Just save all their numbers right now, then call them all and see which have it...

Or you could just call them yourself. Or save some trouble and use TalkTo.
 
Does the apple store generally have a coffee bar or a red-bull promotion or something similar on launch day for those who camp out? When I camped out for the original Iphone, I was awake for something like 52 hours straight. When I finally got to my car I was so delirious that I wound up leaving the phone on the roof while I put my tent and bongos in the trunk, drove off, and well, I had a Motorola Star-Tak for another year.
 
Are you really asking people here to go look for inventory?

And, even is somebody did, you know it could change RAPIDLY in minutes, right?



NOBODY here knows:

a) How many phones each store will have
b) How many of each color
c) How many of each carrier
d) How many of each size

and most important:

HOW MANY OTHER FREAKIN PEOPLE WILL ALSO BE TRYING TO GET ONE!

Why do people keep asking?
 
Sure dude. I'll start in Soho and work my way up to Grand Central and report back. I plan on giving a dude who is waiting near front of the line $100 to grab me a phone. So I'll be in and out and able to report.
 
Hey can someone check all the Apple and Verizon stores in the Pittsburgh area for me as well? I actually have off but I was kind of hoping to sleep in since its my vacation day. Thanks in advance!!!
 
If you'll pay my airfare to New York, put me up in a very nice hotel, pay my place of employment off so I get a few days off, and spot me a couple hundred bucks for dining and shopping, ill do it!

Or you could come in a bit earlier, and go to one of the many stores in the area.

IMHO I would not bother, I am just ordering online or over the phone. I can wait a week or two

Maybe he wants it that day, instead of having to wait :D

Personally I'm not buying online cause I'm doing a cross upgrade and I know that can get messy if you're not doing it at your carrier's store so I'm willing to try.
 
Hey buddy,

Don't:
Bump your threads.
Expect others to do something for you for nothing.
Expect others to do something for you in general.
Start a thread telling someone you're expecting them to do something.


Do:
Go buy a phone yourself at a store that has stock.
Call stores and ask about stock.
Take time off work if it's that important to you.
Take some personal responsibility for your own purchases and do the work yourself.
