he AHCS (Atlanta Historical Computing Society) and CMoA (Computer Museum of America) invite you to VCF SE 2.0 and our new exhibit (along with the existing Apple Pop Up Museum!)
Last year was a blast, the Apple Pop Up Museum was great and so we're adding a new similar exhibit, LINK (person computers from switches to pockets) on the early history of microcomputers. You can see some of the speakers, etc. that we had last year ( http://www.vintage.org/2013/southeast/ ) which included the first editor of Byte, the artist of a number of their iconic covers, one of the first employees of Apple (Daniel Kottke) and other interesting folks.
On http://www.vintage.org/2014/southeast/ you can see the details for this year (the speaker bios and details are being added to the web site daily.
We have more exhibitors this year, vendors, and a consignment area.
If you'd like to support us, or get tickets, the best way is to go to the Kickstarter. Heres the Kickstarter link: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/20859909/help-fund-the-vintage-computer-festival-southeast
You can get more details there (including video of the blinky thing we designed and built
)
We're already working on speakers for 2015 as well, and have some interesting folks already on tap, and confirming others... it always takes time
(that was part of the reason we went to VCF East 9.1 in NJ this year.... Met some of the early Commodore engineers and other very interesting folks )
(Please forward to whoever you think might be interested!)
Hope to see you there!!
