I've decided to top using the Public Beta now, only really planned on doing it up to the official release but then kept going.

I've got a back up from prior to going on the Beta then also manual backups to both iTunes and iCloud done today, think the phone is on iOS 14.2. If i remove the beta profile and then go down the wipe and restore route can i use either of the backups from today or would i have to go all the way back to the one prior to starting the public betas.

The backup prior to the beta. You cannot use a backup from during a beta, unless that version is now publicly available. So your backup done today on 14.2 beta cannot be used on 14.1, only on 14.2 (either beta or when Apple releases it).

I would hold off, as it's highly likely that the 14.2 GM will come out next week. If you wait for that, then remove the profile, you will be on the version of 14.2 that will be released to the public the week after :)

Cheers, thought this was the case but wanted to check. I'll stay on for now and do it when 14.2 is out.
