OS X Command & conquer 3 tw & mavericks

HI all , I have recently purchased my first mac having been a long term PC user.

For fun i bought myself a copy of C&C 3 for mac . However although it appears to install correctly i cant get it to load, i just get the splash screen.

Could any one point me in the right direction

I'm using an Imac 27" with Mavericks

This title sadly rarely worked for anybody since Lion. They never bothered to patch it to make it work
