When writing a text document, I usually use the command key to skip whole sentences, or more than one word. A few days ago the command key stopped working that way, and will now only work with shift (as in selecting, and not skipping, text). This has become irritating, because the 'skip' function is almost wired into me, due to my using it for years.

Have anyone experienced the same, and is there a way of fixing this?

I use a MacBook Pro from 2009, running Lion (10.7.2) The processor have 2.26 GHz, and I have 2GB RAM.

Now it works fine, after a restart. I have no idea, though, why it happened at all.

I have the same problem in 10.7, makes it really frustrating as it is a feature I require all the time as I copy and paste selected portions of documents all the time. It does not work in any application. Almost wish I could go back to 10.6 for just this reason.

Also have the same issue selecting multiple spans of files in finder.

How did you manage to fix it? restarting is not working on my end.

I'm on an:
iMac 27" quad 3.4 i7 16gb ram, 250gb ssd.
