so i found pmset for managing power management from the commandline, and it's great. my question is, is there a similar command for controlling the screensaver? all i really want to do is turn it off (or on) remotely.

any help is greatly appreciated!

just use /System/Library/Frameworks/ScreenSaver.framework/Resources/ScreenSaverEngine.app/Contents/MacOS/ScreenSaverEngine

cheers,
marc

how to disable screen saver?

Is there a command to disable the screen saver? I have a piece of software called Caffeine but my menu bar is too short for me to see the program. Also, I would prefer a command so that I can ssh from another machine and run it.
