Command Q not working

Hi guys, for some reason, my command q doesn't work. It's been like this for awhile, both command keys and Q keys are working...

Instead of quitting the application, i just realized it copies a file, or text, basically the same as command C.. I've checked the keyboard shortcuts and did not see that it was assigned to anything else and also did a restore default. Is there a way to reassign it to quit applications?
