Hi all, perhaps a silly question, but in 10.7 (or 10.6, etc.), is there any way to get the command-tab function to perform more like alt-tab in Windows? With multiple windows of one application open, it would be easier, obviously, to command-tab to the particular window within a program, instead of command-tab then selecting the window. A bit of investigation has uncovered Witch as a potential application to do just this.

Wondering if anyone has experience here or can make any suggestions?

Thank you!
Ryan

In OSX, CMD-TAB is an application switcher, not a window switcher. There's no way that I know of to make CMD-TAB go through all open windows. The "Apple Way" is to use Mission Control/Expose instead.

If you want to go directly to a specific window, use Mission Control (or Expose) and then you can click directly on the window that you want to come forward.

Command + Tab = app switcher
Command + ` = window switcher

It has been like this for a while and I can vouch for it up until Lion, which I can only assume it works there too!
