Command tilde doesn't work in firfox when a video is showing.

MBP aluminum
OSX - Leopard 10.5.8
Firefox - 3.6.3

Whenever a firefox page with an embedded video (typically youtube) is at the front, command~ does NOT work to change firefox pages. If i open a blank tab then it cycles no problem. Cntrl-tab works fine to cycle through tabs. incidentally if i cycle to a non video tab and then try and cmd~ to another firefox window it works fine.
com-tab to change programs works fine as well.

Does anyone else have this problem?
