Forgive me if this has been covered, but I did a search and could not find a solution....

I was wondering if AppleTV can play alternate audio tracks, specifically commentary tracks and if so HOW?

I found the language selection submenu in the audio section, but this didn't seem to change anything AND it appears to be a rather cumbersome way of switching between tracks. I guess I expected to hold down the button and to see a drop down of all available audio tracks for each movie.

Maybe I can and I am doing something wrong?

Yes. It plays them just fine. I always add them in Handbrake when I’m ripping movies.

"While playing a movie, press and hold Play/Pause to access chapter selection, alternate audio and subtitle display. The display shows the options available for the current movie.”

It works with TV Shows also.
