Resolved Comments being marked for moderator approval—why?

Can someone explain why my comments are getting held for moderator approval before being made public? My account isn't that old but it's already happened twice in the last day or so. I can't find any warning or explanation of what's happening and so I'm not sure if I've done something wrong or if it's just a quirk of these forums.

As a side note, are people I'm responding to notified when my comment is approved?

You haven't done anything wrong. The spam filter can be a little overzealous sometimes, but we manually review every post and do our best to approve legitimate posts quickly. As you build up "reputation" it will be less likely that your posts get flagged.

As far as I'm aware, an approved post will trigger notifications as usual.
