Comments & discussion board for site

I want to use a comments platform on my site.
I thinking of using http://disqus.com/

Does anybody used it as an owner of a site that needs comments?

I wonder if this is a totally free service. Or do they charge in any stage over time? Can I depend on it, for the years to come, assuming that it is and will be a free service, with reliability too?
I don't want to use something that is not free, or unreliable, and looking to change it after a while.

I wait for your opinions and experience, as site owners.

I'm replying because I feel this question was lonely.

I'm sorry, I do not use disqus.com, but of course have heard about it.
I write custom comments code when required or use CMS built in stuff.

It really isn't that hard ( except you'll fight with script kiddies until you learn safe coding practices, but it's all fun, just back up, back up, back up! ).
