A question about public companies, do they not have presidents of individual areas. I notice that Apple has its VPs doing all the advertising and talks as well as I know Jon Ive is really the head guy in design. Do they just have VPs in areas and then a president on the chair?

Well, yeah but the question was about the duties of the vice presidents over the presidents... I did not ask for the make up of a public company (I say public company because your definition of "corporation" defines public companies but does not address the nature of private companies.
