compare file names and move files applescript

hello to everyone

I'm new here at the forum but I already learn a lot with you guys.

I'm tryin to automate my mediacenter workflow and I'm making some applescripts to help me out.

Now I trying to make a script that look at the .avi files in a folder and see if there's a file with the same name but with the .srt extension. If the .srt file exist move both files to an especified folder.

I know how to select all the .avi files in a folder, but I don't know how to verifie if in the same folder exist a file with the same name but with .srt extension.

Someone know a way to do that?
