It's wayy to big, don't you think?? I mean, I love that I have the option of doing stuff like watching movies on my phone, and a big screen would enhance that experience, but imagine carrying this in your pocket:confused:

I can also compare the size of a rhinoceros and a unicorn, but considering one of them has never actually been seen, it would make it pretty tough, no? It's also not hard to find a comparable size in something that does exist; numerous Android monstrosities that call themselves "mobile" phones fit this size factor.

Marine World in Redwood City, CA had unicorns.

We-ell, the rumors have been indicating that the LCD will be bigger. and you can get a tell from the link's picture how big it'll be. I don't want to be carrying a mini iPad in my pocket.

And yeah, it's just personal preference. I don't like big phones. If the iPhone 5 is this big, I think I'll stick with my classic iPhone 4 :)

I could deal with a small increase to accommodate a 4" display, but I would have to turn down a phone as large as the one in this thread.

while many rumors have alluded to a potentially increased screen size, none have mentioned anything near 4.7"...it'd be the largest phone screen (excluding the dell streak) on the market, and they're just not gonna do that.

My prediction? They do an edge to edge screen, boast about how they've increased screen size without making the device bigger, and sit pretty with a 3.9" or 4.0" screen.

4.7 inches is a bit extreme. Whats the HTC EVO 4.5 inches??

with a screen that big I read somewhere it will lose its Retina display

It wont be 4.7, that would be ridiculous. Who watches movies on their phone anyway. Its a painful experiernce if you ask me.
It sounded like a really good idea when mp4's were just taking off around 6/7 years ago. However. The reality is that it just isnt that good. And as it is only something that only really makes sense when you are traveling, people rarely use phones to watch films. So what other reason would justify a huge screen that ruins the phones mobility.
4 inch. That will be all

I believe the HTC EVO is 4.3". or just 4".

Anyway, I think you were thinking of the Samsung Infuse for AT&T. That's a 4.5" screen.

EVO 4G is 4.3

Largest phone I ever saw was the Dell Streak 5"... that thing is barely pocketable. No way Apple will release a 4.7"

LOL, that article is bogus. There is no way Apple is going to make a 4.7" screen. But i can see the screen go from 3.7" to 4", and 4" would probably be the maximum Apple would take it.

Anything above a 4" is a mini tablet, imo.

Sure am glad that you don't work for Apple.
